Artist Statement: I learned beadwork from my grandmother and elders who taught me to sew traditional Iroquois clothing and work with seed and glass beads to create designs inspired by nature-- flowers, leaves, birds, and native symbolism on clothing, traditional beaded collars, cuffs, frames, barrettes, hair pieces and purses.
